About Me

Hello! My name is Emily Hampton and I'm a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media Productions. Currently, I am a Multimedia Specialist with the Roman Catholic Diocese in Albany, NY.

During my time at SUNY Plattsburgh, I experienced all aspects of production. From being on- air talent for PSTV shows such as PSNews, North Country News, and News Briefs, to being an Producer and Director for Newswatch.

​

I was also able to intern at WTEN (News10ABC/FOX23) in Albany, NY. During my time, I was able to shadow a variety of roles in the newsroom. From the assignment desk, to being in the field with reporters and photographers, I was able to learn all the working parts that make a newscast possible.

​

Shortly after graduating in May 2019, I became a News Photographer at CBS6. From editing our newscasts, to going in the field to cover breaking news, I did it all. I was responsible for creating day of content that would be presented in multiple newscasts. 

​

In my latest role as a Communications Coordinator at St. Mary's -Glens Falls, I am updating our website and creating videos for multiple platforms. Our team is unique in that we collaborate with our community  to ensure we are serving our parishioners the best way possible.

With the jobs and experience I have built over the years, I have learned to organize my time effectively, as well as the ability to lead my peers in team building opportunities. I am an outgoing, friendly, and compassionate individual, who is eager to take on responsibilities as assigned. The passion I have for the Media industry is shown through my work and the ambition I bring into each project.
